Sacramento, CA, November 12, 2017– Artist Jonah Ward has teamed up with CK Art, a newly opened contemporary art gallery in the bustling midtown district of Sacramento, California. A portion of Jonah’s artwork will be featured alongside a handful of other artists from the area.
Gallery Owner and Director, Catherine Kleckner brings her many years of art consulting and her education from Sotheby’s in New York to her newest venture in the gallery world. Her resume also includes co-founding Sacramento’s unique 10-day art exhibit “Art Hotel,” which attracted over 12,000 visitors in February 2015.
“This is a dream come true, I am so excited to have an opportunity to share the work of these extremely talented artists with my hometown community,” Kleckner stated.
Included among the twelve talented artists in the inaugural exhibit, Catherine is especially excited to be sharing the artwork of Oakland artist Jonah Ward. Of his work, the CK Art owner said “I first visited his studio in 2013 and kept his card knowing if/when I open my own gallery I’d want him as a featured artist. His attention to detail, original use of non-traditional materials, and desirable aesthetic were impressive and memorable. Four years later, I’m thrilled to be showing Jonah’s artwork in my gallery!”
CK Art will be an exhibition, retail, and event space. Kleckner aims to attract new gallery-goers by curating exceptional artworks available at a broad range of prices, along with creatively curated events.
“I’m so happy Catherine kept me in mind after all these years,” Jonah said. “I’ve always known Sacramento to be a very cultural city, so I'm very excited about this opportunity to share my artwork with this audience. I love the space Catherine has created and I look forward to building my relationship with CK Art.”
