While developing his Glass Burnt Panel series, Jonah also explored another concept involving the same materials and process, yet in these works, the focus was on the glass instead of the wood.
This series of glass sculptures had a unique evolution—see in the accompanying photos the process of how they were created and how they were eventually engineered to hang on a wall.
This series of sculptures were created by quickly dripping small strands of molten glass over pre-built wood structures. The wood underneath partially burns, fuming and coloring the glass while also creating a void once the wood is removed. At the moment, this series is purely conceptual and none of these pieces are currently for sale.
